Golden Age Origin
Edit

Added by Roygbiv666Andrew Bryant was a young research scientist who worked for the Pacific Electrical Corporation. In desperate attempt to prove that his work had value to the company, he took a chance and crossed gamma and infrared rays. The experiment blew up in his face, but he survived and, as he quickly discovered, getting bombarded by the resulting radiation gave him superpowers.
He used these abilities to fight crime with the help of his girlfriend, Detective Grace Adams (of the Agatha Detective Agency). Captain Future can fly, hurl energy bolts from his hands, read minds, listen to radio and television broadcasts with his mind, and has super strength. But strong blows to the head can render him unconscious, and he must frequently use his machine to recharge his powers.
His enemies included Dr. Bio and his Spider-men, the Black Dragon Society, and Dr. Holanza.

Notes:
Edit
- This character was named after a pre existing pulp character that the publishing company had been featuring in his own magazine. This character was written and co-created by Edmond Hamilton. The comics version appears to have nothing in common with his pulp counterpart outside the name.
- Andrew Bryant/Captain Future is played by Tim Stotz in the Legacy of the Masque web series.
