The curiously-named Butterworth was the butler for the Crawford Family (the son of which was secretly the hero, Fatman the Human Flying Saucer). For a brief moment, he, along with Mr. & Mrs. Crawford, was controlled by Brain Man into attacking Fatman.
In the final issue, Butterworth began traveling with Fatman becoming somewhat of a non-powered sidekick to the hero (along with Grollo the Gnome).
