A space prospector finds a remarkable metal to gold on a devastated space-mining ship. The prospector dubs the metal meteorium. The World Council sees great applications. The race is on to be the first corporation to reach the moon of Saturn where the ore awaits. Larry Winters, the founder of Planetary Metals, matches wits with the unscrupulous Vincent Cartley, who will stop at nothing to win the prize. Unbeknownst to Cartley, his own daughter Margo Cartley is in love with Winters and goes with him in his spaceship. Cartley makes several attempts to kill Winters, not knowing he is endangering his own daughter.
As the ships reach the planet, an alien ship confronts them and attacks the corporations' spaceship. Knowing the ruthlessness of the aliens, Vincent drives the alien spaceship into the sun with his ship, killing all aboard both vessels.
