- Some sites report that Storms and Captain Stone (who debuted in Captain Fearless #2) are one and the same with different names. This is speculation as there is no proof that Stone was a re-tooled version of Storms.
- However it is worth noting that Captain Fearless #1 refers to Storms as 'ace investigator of the naval marine intelligence' and Captain Fearless #2 refers to Stone as a 'marine investigator'. Additionally, the caption scroll for Captain Fearless #2 has the character's name as 'Captain Sto' with a large space after the name, as if it was expected that the name was going to be changed.
