Wag is a traveling rabbit, who works for Ruggedo in Kabumpo in Oz. He's paid with items that Ruggedo steals from the Emerald City. He knows that it's wrong to accept stolen property, but he has a weakness for collecting.
Wag flees from Ruggedo's service with the doll, Peg Amy, and enlarged to human size by Glegg's Instantaneous Expanding Extract. He joins Pompadore of Pumperdink and Kabumpo on their quest.
Through further adventures, they chase Ruggedo to Ev; they meet the Scarecrow, Glinda, The Good Witch of the South and Princess Ozma. They eventually learn how to use Glegg's magic to restore the status quo, shrinking Ruggedo and returning the palace to its proper place.
