Origin

"Georgie Porgie" is a popular English language nursery rhyme.

The most common modern lyrics are:

Georgie Porgie, Puddin' and Pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry,
When the boys came out to play
Georgie Porgie ran away.
The tune for the nursery rhyme was composed by James William Elliott.

Notes

Although its source is unidentified, it's likely the "George" satirized in the poetry is King George III of England, whose hysterics of insanity and fickleness were well-known. While others consider it may refer to the future George IV, the Prince Regent, who was a infamous womaniser. Georgie Porgie is a kindergarten poem which a number of people see as an early allusion to sexual harassment.
