Golden Age Origin Edit

Baron Eric von Emmelman was a German ace shot down during World War One. He landed in a Polish swamp and, over 20 odd years, he merged with the "dreary vegetation" to become a vampiric humanoid. He was a good guy, though, and he ended up flying a fighter against the Germans and going to Japan and China to fight against the Japanese. He then made his way to the States to fight crime.

Heap came into conflict with WWII aviator Skywolf and Airboy on several occasions as well as villains such as the Black Baron.
