Golden Age Origin
Born in the wilds of Maine to ordinary parents in the 20th century, this version of the legendary Paul Bunyan was "10 feet tall and growing" and possessed superhuman strength and unusual speed. He worked as a lumberjack for a number of timber companies, battling criminals and even "ape men" that he encountered. Being a patriot, Paul volunteered for the Army and later returned to fight the enemies of freedom in America with help from his big blue ox, Babe.
