| HistoryText = During the early 16th Century, the Poet Pirate was found clinging to a spar with his book of verses. He was rescued by other pirates and put in their boat's cell. While captured, he continued to write verses about the "Sandhurst Treasure." He bragged to his capture's how he went down with the Lucy Grey and knew of the treasure's location. By not telling them where to go, he was hung.

For centuries, various thieves tried to translate the poems hoping the treasure's hidden location would be revealed. But no one could decipher it, and the book left a river of blood to those with greed in their hearts.

Finally, the book fell in the hands of the Black Hand. He came very close to finding the treasure, but when he swam down to explore the rusty ship's hull, his foot was snagged in seaweed. At this time, Captain Flag was in pursuit of his foe, and witnessed the terrible predicament the Black Hand was in, but he left him there to drown.

Days later, the Black Hand was found floating in the sea and a Navy crew rescued him. While on board, a hurricane occurred, killing the entire crew and leaving him as the sole survivor. With the ship his, he rounded up a couple of cut-throats and thieves and continued his search for the Poet Pirate's treasure.
