Origin

When a flying saucer causes a ruckus on the McLeod ranch, Pop admonishes his daughter Jane McLeod to stay inside while he investigates. A sniper shoots Pop. Seeing from the window Jane drives to the nearest ranch; Spurs Jackson's Bar-Z. Space Vigilante Ben gets Spurs plane ready for him, and he leaves with it to investigate. He is captured by Colonel Steigev and his comrades, who are responsible for the flying saucer. The saucer is a mundane craft, reaching only about 65o mph. Steigev plans to use it to bomb populated areas, supposing the people would attribute the damage to alien invasion. Pop helps Spurs to capture Steigev, his ship, and his comrades.
