Prospero is a sorcerer who lived on a small, remote island, where he used magic to protect his daughter, Miranda. On the island, he controlled the monster, Caliban, and an air elemental named, Ariel.
Prospero had been the rightful Duke of Milan, but was left to die at sea by his jealous brother, Antonio. After 12 years of exile on the island, Prospero is able to punish those who betrayed him, and is given safe passage, with his daughter, back to civilization.
