When Alice eats the cake and shrinks, she escapes into the White Rabbit’s garden. As she does this, she hears a loud bark. The Puppy is looking down at her. Alice feels sorry for him and tries to whistle but, is afraid he will eat her. Without knowing what she is doing, she picks up a stick and throws it to the dog. She does this a couple of times until she finally tires him out and the Puppy sits down and Alice walks away.
