The mask (Pseudoderm) and the mist (Bonding Gas) he uses were developed by Dr. Aristotle Rodor and Dr. Twain. Pseudoderm was developed as an artificial skin to be used as a bandage and the gas would bond it to the person. It was found to be toxic on open wounds and was abandoned.
