Golden Age Origin

U.S Navy man Jim Lockhart invented a one-man submarine known as "The Red Torpedo" and wanted to build it, but his superior Captain Wells did not take the idea seriously. He was so passionate about the project he resigned from the Navy and worked on the project as a civilian with the help of his fiance, Meg.

The Red Torpedo can travel under water at high speed and fire energy beams. And, as the name suggests, it was an offensive weapon in on itself, ramming through ships and inflicting severe damage. Using his sub, he became the peacekeeper of the seas, the Robin Hood of the deep. His most common enemy was the Black Shark, a pirate, and he also discovered Merezonia, an underwater civilization inhabited by the Mermazons.
