Golden Age Origin

Millionaire Richard Wentworth was also the ruthless vigilante The Spider. As the Spider, Wentworth was armed with an air pistol and wore fangs, a wig, and vampire make-up. He was assisted by his fiance, butler, chauffeur, and manservant. Like other pulp heroes such as Domino Lady or Black Bat (2), Spider had a calling card the "Spider Seal", a red-ink spider, which he would leave on the foreheads of his victims.
