Origin

Wart-on-the-Nose is a wooden Native American who lives on the Isle of Phreex, though he once stood in front of a beautiful cigar store. He is made of oak and his paint is the best ready-mixed that can be bought.

He was arrested by the Brotherhood of Failings and brought before the Kinglet because, despite his name, he had no wart on his nose. He was sentenced to death, but Maria Simpson the Royal Executioner broke her sword trying to behead him. After a cleaver got lodged into a good oak knot in his neck, John Dough suggested that instead of cutting of his head, they whittle a wart onto his nose. The Indian agreed and subsequently changed his name to Wart-on-the-Nose-and-Cleaver-in-the-Neck.
