Hsin-Chiu was a planet between Mars and Jupiter. Eminent scientist Yang forsees the destruction of the planet, yet his warnings are ignored by many. With some faithful followers, he constructs Yang's Ark, leaving the remains of the planet with refugees from Hsin-Chiu. These refugees settled in the area of Earth now called China, and the Chinese people are descendants of Hsin-Chiu. The advanced science they carry, the dragon symbol that they revere which resembles Yang's Ark, and the fact that they are called the "Sons of Heaven" all point to their distant origin on another planet. The remains of Hsin-Chiu comprise the asteroid belt. The largest asteroid, Hermes, was where Yang staged the departure of his ark.
